The Bruce Ski Club maintains cross-country ski trails at locations in Grey and Bruce Counties, Ontario, and a series of snowshoe trails.
The club’s snowshoe and cross-country ski trails can be found at:
- Sawmill Nordic Centre in Hepworth, Ontario: cross-country skiing (classic and skate) and snowshoeing
- Colpoys Ski Trail located northeast of Wiarton, Ontario: cross-country skiing (classic only)
The Bruce Ski Club offers some of the best cross-country skiing in southern Ontario. For directions from Grey and Bruce Counties or from Toronto or beyond, check out the maps on each of the ski trail pages.
Members have unlimited access to the cross-country ski and snowshoe trails at all Bruce Ski Club locations. Individual and family memberships are available. Non-members may purchase a day pass at a very reasonable rate.
The latest trail conditions for all locations are posted on the Bruce Ski Club website and Facebook page.
Bruce Ski Club does not own any of the land on which our cross-country ski and snowshoe trails sit. We owe a great deal to the landowners who generously allow us to ski or snowshoe on their property. If you meet any of the 14 landowners, please thank them personally for sharing their property.
Help keep our cross-country ski and snowshoe trails clean:
- Dogs are not allowed on our trails.
- Pack out your snacks and trash.
- If you find trash on the trail, pack that out, too.
Sawmill Nordic Centre in Hepworth, Ontario
Sawmill Nordic Centre is our most popular location, with 11 kilometers of cross-country ski trails for both novice and advanced skiers. The trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing.
Many of our cross-country ski races and events are held at the Sawmill Nordic Centre.
The centre also features a lit loop for cross-country skiing at night, 5 kilometers of snowshoe trails cut through rolling hardwood and evergreen stands, and a heated ski hut.
