Georgian Bay Nordic (GBN) is holding Lila’s Loppet this weekend at Sawmill trails. The plan is to do 25 km classic skiing and 25 km skate skiing as a continuous pursuit, but you are free to choose any distance and technique that challenges you.
The event will run Sunday February 28, 2021 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Start whenever you like.
As a warning, the weather forecast is not great but there will be snow!
Details:
- GBN will have a grip wax bench and technician set up from 8 to 9 am if you need help with grip waxing.
- There will be a chart to sign in with your goal and to keep track of progress.
- There will be a place to set your skis and do your transition in the stadium area (close to the woods on parking lot side).
- There will be an area to keep your snacks and hydration.
Please follow all COVID-19 safety procedures, including physical distancing, and wearing masks in the parking lot and whenever you cannot stay 2 meters away from others.
