On Friday, January 24th 126 men lined up for the 1.5 km classic sprint qualifier at the Craftsbury, Vermont US Super Tour. Bruce Ski Club and Georgian Bay Nordic member Julian Smith was 6th in a time of 3:21.34. With only the top 30 qualifying for the quarter finals, Julian handily qualified. He was 2nd in both the quarters and semis.
The six fastest men of the day lined up for the fourth, and final race of the day. Feeling strong, Julian raced fast and smart and finished with a silver medal and prize money!
Julian’s next set of races are at Mont Saint Anne January 30th to February 2nd, 2020.
